William "Bill" Arthur Weasley

Birthday: November 29, 1970
Family Background The first born of Molly and Arthur Weasley, Bill grew up with lots of younger siblings (as the world well knows). Enough said. He's married to Fleur Delacour-Weasley, the most gorgeous female on the planet, followed only by his sister and his mum. (Does he get a biscuit for that?)
House: Gryffindor.
Bloodline: Pureblood. And no, it doesn't matter.
Political Views: He's more interested in your capabilities rather than your lineage.

Appearance
Visual Representation: Scott Grimes
Description: He's not the tallest Weasley (damn it Ron!), but he'll always be the biggest. He's of a pretty average build, not stocky like Charlie, but not quiet as gangly as his littlest brother. After a few years and a few cosmetic procedures, his scars from Fenrir have mostly disappeared and those that haven't are covered by his beard and mustache. He has the typical Weasley coloring, complete with a massive amount of freckles on his shoulders and back. He has a tattoo of a red phoenix on his back, near his left shoulder and a fleur de lis where his wedding ring would normally rest.

Psychology and Personality
Sexuality: He's straight. Please see above comments about his wife for any clarification needed.
Strengths and Weaknesses: He's smart, earned OWLs in all twelve subjects, but can be quick to dismiss you if he think you're not working to your true potential. Gets along well with others. Likes a bit of "adventure and glamour," but has tried to tone it down over the last few years. It's debatable if he's succeeded or not. Has a good sense of humor (how could you not, growing up with the twins?). He can get too wrapped up in his research. And while his temper might be longer than some of his siblings, it blows loud and hard. He understands French and can speak passable Arabic.
Habits\Quirks: Uses muggle pens as opposed to quills because his fingers always seem to get stained. He reads the end of books first so he knows what's going to happen. He likes doing some stuff the muggle way just for the sake of the process. His mum taught him to knit when he was young because it kept him out of trouble.
Likes\Dislikes: He loves his wife and his family. He has little patience for slackers. He likes puzzles and bad jokes. Not a big fan of chocolate. Theoretically likes the idea of having a big family. Prefers greasy pub food to anything else as well as a good pint. Dislikes men who think they can get into his wife's pants because she's part-Veela. This also applies to women who think he was fooled by Fleur's charm. Of course he was charmed by her, but for different reasons than you think. He's amused when his wife slips into French when she's upset.

History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time:

After leaving Hogwarts in June 1990, Bill took a temporary job with Gringotts Bank, turning down job offers from various parts of the Wizarding World, that he holds to this day. Originally, he was supposed to work on a case to case basis down in Egypt, but once the goblins saw how valuable he was, they gave him a long-term contract. While he loved Alexandria and the various base camps he was stationed in, he returned home during the summer 1995 after it was revealed Voldemort had come back to life, taking a desk job.

There he met his future wife, Fleur Delacour, and was immediately taken with her. After a year of dating courtship, he proposed, despite the protests of his mother and sister. They eventually came around of course, it only took him getting attacked by Fenrir Greyback to do so. Their first year of marriage was a happy one, irregardless of the fact that the war was raging around them.

After the war, Gringotts pulled him off desk duty and put him back into the field, though he was mostly located in Britain, contracted by the Ministry to break the wards and curses put on objects by Death Eaters. During that time he began to go through his notes and journals that he kept of his various projects, publishing an article that was very well received. He continued to publish even as work in Britain dried up and he was sent further and further away from home.

He worked in Egypt for a period of time, during which he researched and worked on his first book about the history and impact of the development of wards in ancient Egypt. When opening up a tomb of a wizard general of the sixth dynasty, he was seriously injured and sent back to England and away from the field. After a few weeks of being at home, recuperating (and being a generally poor patient), he accepted the temporary position of Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts after the last professor quit unexpectedly. Come the summer, McGonagall and the Governors offered him a full time position. He's been at Hogwarts ever since.

Come the following November, Fleur gave birth to their first child, Claire Marguerite. Although appropriately nervous and scared, Bill took to fatherhood like a duck too to water. He was always holding her, causing Fleur sometimes had to hex him in order lay hands on their daughter She's now eighteen months, Bill's having a blast, and Fleur's business is booming. He can't see how life could get better than this.
